I was actually surprised that this pen was both an oblique pen and a straight pen. I remember just seeing the oblique pen photo and added it to my cart and bought it. I am so glad that I bought this as I am taking calligraphy classes that requires me to use an oblique pen and a straight pen. As I am just re-starting my calligraphy journey, I did not want to purchase a lot of materials as we are currently travelling and not a lot of space in our camper. This is definitely a must for someone who is in a tight budget. I love the feel of the pen when I am using it. It is very comfortable. I love the simplicity of the design!!!
