We're Packing Up - And Shipping Pauses Next Week

Dear friends, 

This week feels very different at Written Word because we're very busy packing up inventory for the big move. We're also busy packing up and personalizing your orders as this will be the last time we can offer it for our US customers. 

We've had a few calligraphers reach out about possibly outsourcing personalization, which we might consider once we get all settled. But as of now, in terms of having myself personalize them, that would be an interesting piece. 

Shipping Pauses Next Week

With the de minimis exemption ending globally on August 29, cross-border shipping into the US will be changing dramatically. Our shipping carriers have told us that there will be a shipping pause next week while they adjust to the new rules. Plus, it will also take some time for us to have the inventory sent to our new warehouse in the USA, processed and setup for operations.

While we're still trying to figure out how we can ship to USA during this transition period, we wanted to let you know that tomorrow, August 22nd will be the last chance to place an order for USA orders under the current system. 

Especially if you've been eying a personalized item, now is the time.

As if it hasn't already been tough for small businesses across the board, right now it's dealing with a lot of unknowns and unexpected expenses. Right now, moving our inventory to the USA is posing quite a big unexpected expense, including having to absorb the tariffs. We've honestly got a lot of new things coming down the pipe (hint hint Advent Calendar ;)), and if you'd like to help us out with our Gift Card Fundraiser - we would truly be so grateful and you're really going to love what you'll see in our shop soon.
