A little Thanksgiving note from me🍂

Hi friend!

It's Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada, and I wanted to pop into your inbox with something a little different today.

This year has had a lot of ups and downs behind the scenes. Running a small business continues to stretch me in ways I don't always expect, and lately I've been spending a lot of time praying about what this next season of Written Word will look like. This past week alone has been all about sorting out our move which is happening in a few short weeks both from our current location and the new location, managing our Advent Calendar shipments which are arriving soon, recording all the videos for the Advent Calendar Volume 2, and also September is our year end as well, aaaaah!

But in the middle of all the uncertainty, there is also SO much to be grateful for. I'm grateful that after more than a decade, I still get to sit down and create things that somehow find their way onto your desks and into your homes. It's honestly incredible how God has led us through all these years!

How I started in Calligraphy

An invitation to slow down

if you have a quiet moment this weekend, I wanted to invite you to pull out a brush pen and spend a few minutes with our FREE Slow & Flow worksheets.

I originally created these as a way to take some of the pressure out of calligraphy. No perfect letters or finished project, just simple, flowing strokes that encourage you to slow down, breathe, and enjoy the process.

It's been awhile since I've done one of these...

Sometimes being on social media in the midst of all the craziness can be quite exhausting - and I find taking intentional pauses have been so good for the heart. If you're struggling with being able to stay present, I encourage you to do one, even for a few hours a day.

But Christmas has been happening behind the scenes at Written Word for quite a while now, and our holiday collection starts arriving next week! 🎄  Plus, the Advent Calendars have arrived so we will start shipping our Canada ones and will send out our USA ones soon!
