Clear wax seals (and how to get them right) 🤍

We got you crystal clear ✨

We're so excited to announce that we now have Clear Wax Sticks in the shop - so that you create those beautiful, crystal clear wax seals (and maybe even those super cute puffy stickers we've been seeing all over instagram - a tutorial coming soon!). To get them extra clear, this sealing wax needs a little bit of TLC - but don't you worry, I gotchu with this tutorial.

Dual Heat Glue Gun

To create the clearest wax seals, you will need to use high heat. That's why our dual heat glue gun comes in clutch because it has a high heat setting. We normally use the low heat setting for our other colors, but for this one you need it hot. Freshly restocked in our US and Canada warehouse.

A glossy surface

This is important - you need a glossy surface to create the clearest wax seals. The clear wax immediately takes whatever it's made on, that's why our mini silicon mat, which is double sided - one matte and one glossy, gives you the perfect surface for it. Pro tip: make sure it's clean and lint free, if not use a piece of tape to clean it.

An extra dose of patience

In this picture, we are using the clear wax sticks, except the top wax seal was on the glossy side, and the bottom was made on the matte side. It's quite a bit different right? The clear wax is also a bit more gummy - I find that you need to peel it off the wax seal stamp itself. Make sure you WAIT until it's cool before you remove the wax seal - it could be a minute or two!

An updated family picture

If you told me a year ago that we would still be growing our wax seal line, especially our wax sticks, I would have probably said "nah". In fact, we had a deep dive with a good number of you to chat about the future of our wax seal collections and if there is still a space for us in this industry. But by God's grace, we are still here. I look at this family picture of wax sticks, and thank God for our growing family.

xoxo, Karla
