From shaky lines to confident strokes✨

Stroke by Stroke

Hi friend!

Last week I shared how just a few minutes of practice, an exercise to slow down, can make a huge difference in our lives and in our calligraphy, too! Today, I want to share with you a story from one of my students Kelli:

From Kelli: "I want to say thank you for the opportunity to learn so many things I could never figure out on my own with calligraphy!"

Kelli started off with a really busy schedule being a caring grandma and with trips planned, she had paused her membership for a little bit to focus on her family. But she continued on, practicing twice a day - first thing in the morning and early evening. She even got our travel case because she wanted to continue practicing on the go!

Like most beginners, Kelli started unsure and hesitant especially with the tools and strokes that "didn't feel quite right", but with the practice and support she received in the course, we're so happy to see her progress through the weeks.

Want to Learn the Art of Foil Printing?

One of my peers in the calligraphy invitation industry, Nat Otalora of Papel & Co., is having an amazing (final) sale of our online courses. I personally am so interested in taking the course myself, as I've always loved foil printing (I do some handmade ones) but not in the realm of actually printing them into invitations. She has two courses, one about the Art of Foil Press Printing which talks all about the the machines and how to prepare your files for the printer and how to print in hot foil printing. And, she also has a pricing calculator as well - which includes course videos specifically about pricing invitations with/without printing involved, and a master excel sheet to help you get the numbers right, confidently!

She's gratefully shared two coupons for me so that you can save in these courses

Sale will be ending this September 20th, 2025, then she won't be offering these courses anymore! I would take advantage of learning this wonderful skill from someone who has created a lot of magic in her invitations and stationery all these years.

With Gratitude, Karla
