Holding Space for the Lapu-Lapu festival tragedy 🕯️
Hi friend!
We were so grateful to meet many of you in person — and it reminded me just how special it is to slow down, create, and connect face to face again.
At the same time, my heart has been incredibly heavy. Shortly after the pop-up, we learned about the devastating tragedy at the Lapu-Lapu festival in Vancouver
An SUV had rammed in full speed directly into the crowds at a Filipino cultural gathering and killed many innocent festival-goers, including children. This is often a family-friendly event, and if we didn't have a pop-up, it's something I would've attended. It hit painfully close to home — we have friends of friends who lost loved ones, with some left as sole survivors, and others newly orphaned.
We cry out to God alongside them. Our hearts break with theirs.
If you would like to help, here is a link that has some details to directly supports the victims and families affected. Additionally, I will be donating 100% of my proceeds from digital worksheets and font sales from now until the end of May towards the victims.
I'll be sharing a few photos from the Spring Collective soon - and a little sneak peek at my travel kit that I use for events like these, including my recent Sweat and Ink pop-up at Rumble Boxing Studio.

Also, we’re going to squeeze in one more shipping day this week, April 30, in hopes to get the last of the orders in before the tariffs for de minimis orders (under $800) starts for our US customers. Usually, we only ship it twice a week, but we just wanted to give you guys a heads up.
Thank you for being part of this community — through seasons of joy and seasons of mourning. We continue to pray, we continue to create, and we continue to hold space for those who are hurting.
xoxo, Karla
