If you’ve been meaning to come back to Scripture

If you’ve been meaning to come back to Scripture

It's almost here -

Hi friend, recently, I've been thinking about how busy life gets and how often reading God’s Word becomes less of a priority, even though we know how much we need it. Somehow, in our schedules, it’s often the first thing to go.

That’s when I started thinking, what if we created something that gently brings us back? Something simple and tangible, that invites us to slow down and rest in His Word.

This is the heart behind The Scribe, our Christian Snail Mail Subscription. Each month, you'll receive something in the mail, centered around a theme. There will be a 5x7 print, traceable worksheets, a letter from me featuring a story from the community, and some stationery surprises to help you be reminded of His Word wherever you are.

Earlier this year, I asked for your stories and verses, because I know how powerful our stories are in helping us remember Scripture. This is more than just a little personal project, this becomes a voice from our Written Word community, encouraging each other.

How this is rolling out

We’ll be opening this in two steps:
May 4: Early access for those on the waitlist
May 5: Open to everyone

As this is a snail mail subscription, we will have a cutoff deadline of the 20th of each month, to give us time to print, pack and send your mail out to receive in the following month. If this is something you feel drawn to, I’d encourage you to join the waitlist so you can access it first.

We're committing to this for 1 year

I know most snail mail clubs just keep going - but we want to be realistic with our time and capacity and commit to this for 1 year, and then a few months before that, we will prayerfully consider our next steps. Because of this, we’re offering the annual subscription (with one month free) this month only, until May 20.

An invitation to slow down

You don't need to be a calligrapher to participate in this snail mail club - just a willingness to receive His Word. Written Word started with me writing His Word in calligraphy for practice, and because calligraphy is 10–15 times slower than handwriting, it really helped me ponder on the meaning and the fullness of each word. And that's why we have this in The Scribe, that you may simply trace and rest in Scripture, and you can also print it again and again using the digital worksheets link.

A note regarding the waitlist: If the form doesn't show up for you, don't worry - just email me back here and I'll get you added in.

xoxo, Karla
