Hi friend,

It’s been a week since I came back from Japan and in the midst of dealing with jetlag, unpacking, moving, and trying to get back into the routine, I finally had the chance to process some of our pictures and videos! So grateful for this opportunity to travel to one of my favorite places in the world, and share my knowledge and experience with Japanese calligraphers, especially on the business side.

For 2 days, we had our Calligraphy Business Workshop at Paper Tree, which is also our retailer for our products in Japan. It was my first time teaching with a translator, and Saki-san did an incredible job translating and explaining it in the Japanese context as well. I was so grateful to be gifted so many amazing items from my Japanese students - from handmade flowers to the limited edition Creative Kinds collaboration with Paper Tree, “Bouquet”.

This trip was definitely unique as I travelled with my kids, so my travel kit also included some tools for them because you know, my backpack can only hold so much!
