Yep, the Horse wax seals have sold out!

Honestly, I didn't expect to have sold them out so quickly - just last week wiped out more than half of our inventory. We're working on a restock, but realistically speaking, it will take a few weeks before it will arrive again and will miss the actual Lunar New Year celebration. We still have other Lunar designs available, but they're also quite low now in quantity. But we've made this wax seal design quite timeless, so if you'd like to get them, make sure you get it soon!

Our Brass Wax Seal Stove has been such an iconic piece in our wax seal collection, but we are down to just a few left in both our Canada and USA warehouses. We're not restocking it the way it is, because these are currently being made in India and is made entirely of brass (copper+zinc), which has increased so much in cost + the tariff on copper goods (50%) + tariff from India goods (50%). We're working on potential replacements for this product, but if you want this exact stove, I would get it now before we say goodbye to it forever.

Lefties Alert!

Sarah from @joyful_splashes made this incredible video sharing how lefties use oblique calligraphy penholders. She even wrote up a really detailed caption on it, as well as demonstrated it. I'm so grateful! Oblique pens were originally created for righties, and leftie oblique pens are more rare to find. This video shares some tips on how a leftie can write with a 'right-handed' oblique pen.

Full House This Past Weekend!

The Write Slowly Collective met this past Saturday for a live practice session. It was truly precious seeing so many of you, both new and returning to practice calligraphy together. My daughter, Jasiel, also joined us to practice! She's been learning how to write her name recently. She happily wrote beside me while we went through some relaxing worksheets together. I hope more of you can join us next time! Our next live session is in February 27, Friday from 3-4PM. If you can't make it, that's okay too as we record these sessions as well, so you can watch and practice at your own leisure. In February, the worksheets are all about community :)
