RE: Tariffs 🫠

Yesterday, we posted an update on our IG about the recent tariff changes and how they are impacting our biz. We're so grateful to receive all the love and support from you, as we are all truly affected by it, in some way shape or form. Our hearts are with you.
Just in case you didn't catch the message yesterday, here's what we posted:
Due to recent U.S. tariff changes (and more potentially on the way), our product line may be affected, and that reality is still unfolding.
As a small Canadian business, we pour so much of our heart into every package we send. Our calligraphy tools, wax seals, and creative supplies were all created with one hope: to share the joy of slowing down through this beautiful, meditative art.
As an immigrant myself, I’ve always believed in finding and sourcing beauty from around the world. That’s why our materials come from China, Japan, the U.S., India, the UK, and, of course, right here in Canada. I’m so grateful that Written Word has now shipped to over 90 countries—because wherever you are, I want you to be able to enjoy calligraphy, too.
While it’s still unclear exactly how or when these tariff changes will take effect, we want to be transparent: U.S. customers may begin to see added customs fees or slight shipping delays in the coming weeks.
Written Word isn't just a job for me - it's my livelihood, it's my calling. It's how we've been able to bless so many people all over the world, it's how we feed our kids, pay our bills, and support dreams.
We’re watching closely, praying and seeking God for peace, wisdom and guidance, for truly His love never fails. At the same time, we're also preparing for all possibilities - exploring new manufacturing partners, shipping options, whatever it takes to keep Written Word moving forward.
That said, If you’ve been thinking about picking up something from our shop, now may be a good time—especially before the current de minimis rule (which exempts orders under $800 from added duties) is changed.
