The perfect wax seal doesn't exi -

Learning how to make a perfectly poured mooncake wax seal was a journey haha. I was trying to pour just enough wax so that when I put the stamp on it, there would be no "lip" or edge of wax - that also meant I needed to make sure I centered the stamp onto the wax. After tons of time and practice, I think I finally got it, and can't wait to share with you how I did it in this video here.

Step 1: Pour Wax

I highly suggest using the glue gun method in this, because using the wax spoon you can't control the heat as much and the wax might get too running. You'll want to create a small circle first, not too much wax at all.

Step 2: Center the wax

This one requires a bit of practice as well - I realized I'm horrible at it. Ideally, when you put the stamp on, none of the wax will escape on the side and create a lip. So, double check the wax centering, and then slowly press down onto the wax.

Step 3: Gently lift off

I know it's very tempting to lift it up quickly, but especially if your wax stamp has been used a few times, it may be a bit warm from the wax. So, wait a few seconds before lifting it up. Hopefully, a *perfect* wax seal is inside ;)

Last week, we ran a little campaign to try to get our snail mail club to 72 members. Sadly, we weren't able to reach our goal - but we felt so grateful and blessed to be able to send out all these letters to encourage, uplift, inspire people all over the world with Rachael of @thewordpaperiedesign's story of courage and hope.

I actually painted this sunrise scene a few years ago for our Easter card at my chuch, and thought it was apt for the theme - imagining the time when Jesus sat Peter down after His resurrection, tasking him to feed His sheep. This month's gift was a set of coasters with the same sunrise illustration, so that perhaps you may invite a friend or two to come have coffee/tea and share the grace to them. We do have a few pieces of the Scribe archive from September left.
