Have Fun Creating Multi-colored Wax Seals

We love making wax seals, and that might be an understatement! There are so many creative ways to make them, by adding flowers, or glitter... But have you also considered marbled wax seals? Just by adding another color (or two), you can create fun multi-colored wax seals! In this blog, we will show you the different methods on how to do this! 

Glue Gun Method

One of those methods is by using two glue guns with each a different color. If you want to, you could use more than two, but it will be a messier experience. With the two glue guns, you could first make two 'halves' and make the seal, like we did in this video. 

Or, instead of making two halves, consider just adding the second color on top of the other, like we did in the following video:

Optionally, then swirl the wax around with a toothpick before you make the stamp, to create a different pattern. See how we did this in our video examples here, and here.

Wax Seal Stove Method

Just like the glue gun method, you can use either one or two spoons. But as you can imagine, the two-spoon method definitely takes longer, so we recommend just using one if you are impatient. Unless you have multiple stoves to use of course!

Marbling with a wax seal stove and spoon makes marbling a little bit easier as you can just add different wax bead colors to the spoon to melt them together. Just like we did in the following video.  

And unlike the glue gun method, the wax seal stove allows you to re-use old wax seals or upcycle glue gun sealing wax drippings. Just cut up your wax seals in smaller pieces, or add the drippings in one spoon and let it melt together. See how we re-use our sealing wax here and here. No more wasting sealing wax!

And of course, you can still use a toothpick, but don't overmix! You might just create a different shade or color, and not end up with the marbling pattern.
