Running and Calligraphy Have More in Common Than You Think ;)

Hi Friend!

As some of you know, I'm currently training for my very first marathon and it's been such a journey. While I've ran half marathons before, it was only this past run that I've really put on the effort to train for it and I realized that running and calligraphy actually have quite a bit of things in common!

Like this past week's long run - I had what I would call a "bad run". The heat was getting to me, my legs felt sluggish, huge difference from my long run the week before. Reflecting on it, I spent a lot of time praying for my friends and myself, more than I ever had in any run 😂 That's a good thing :)

But just like calligraphy - some days, the ink flows beautifully.  Other days, the letters could be wobbly, uneven, and nothing feels "right".

But here's the thing: It's still process.

Every step counts. I'm glad I still showed up to run today. Just like when you show up to write. Every line you practice counts. You don't have to be perfect to keep going.
