Calligraphy Student Coach

Written Word is a modern calligraphy studio based in Richmond, BC. We create online calligraphy courses, calligraphy and stationery products and wedding invitations. We are looking for a modern calligrapher with a passion for teaching and sharing your knowledge to help our beginner students get the hang of modern calligraphy. If you’ve taken our online courses, it’s a huge plus! 

The student coach will be responsible for the following:

• Responding to beginner students (CCC) homework via email (help@writtenwordacademy.com), at least 2-3 times a week (flexible depending on your schedule) to provide feedback, notes for improvement, sending reference photos, diagrams, or videos to help explain concepts. This may include printing out the homework and writing feedback directly on it, then taking a picture and sending it back to the student. The average homework received is around 5-10 a day,
• Going onto the CCC Facebook Group to help respond to students’ questions and generate engagement, posting and coming up with weekly challenges, student spotlights, creating polls, etc.

This role will be a contract position with an hourly rate. This role usually is about 3-5 hours a week. We would need a commitment of at least 1 year for this role.

Hours: Flexible (3-5 hours a week)
Salary: Depends on experience ($25-30/hour)
Location: Flexible (Anywhere in the world)

Length of Contract: Minimum 1 year
