Is it time to learn something new?
Looking to learn a new calligraphy style?
Hi friend,
One of our very first products in the shop was ourย Calligraphy Practice Padsย - they were created as an extension of our in-person calligraphy workshops, so that our students can continue to practice and learn. That's why our practice pads feature over 6 different calligraphy styles to trace and explore.
But of course, everyone learns differently! Sometimes, it can be easier to focus on one style at a time, which is why we launched our styles in aย digital worksheetย format - where you receive the file digitally, print the pages you need, and practice the letters and strokes as you go. Each of our style digital worksheets contain over 100 pages of practice, so I would print them in small batches, so you don't overwhelm yourself.

Gossamer Style
Ourย Gossamer Digital Worksheetsย feature our signature calligraphy style that I crafted for Written Word. Gossamer is a tall, sophisticated calligraphy style with lots of wispy strokes and a medium bounce. It has a moody yet elegant feel that is amazing in branding, wedding, tattoos, and more.ย
The worksheets feature instructions and notes per stroke and letter, as well as ample tracing and writing lines.

Halcyonย is our more relaxed calligraphy style, it has a nice casual and carefree feel to it that makes it a joy to practice with. The intention of these worksheets are for practicing to increase muscle memory for writing in calligraphy.ย

Learning to be still
Thank you for keeping us in your prayers the past few days, especially as we navigate this season of transitions with our warehouse. I definitely sense God's hand in and throughout this whole ordeal and as we discern our next steps in the business. Not surprisingly, God's Word through theย Scribe, especially our June one about anxiety, has really encouraged me.
As I shared our woes to a few of our close friends and our pastor, he encouraged me with this vision of the Israelites just before they crossed the Red Sea, as they felt sandwiched between the Egyptians behind them and the sea before them, and Moses answered them, "The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still." Exodus 14:14. Being still is hard for someone like me who likes to "do", I definitely resonate with being a Martha more than a Mary, but in this season, I definitely need to do that more as we seek His will in the next few months.
xoxo, Karla
