Our Blog Series Featuring Written Word Retailers

Last week we launched our new blog series, Retailer Spotlight, where we feature one of our retailers. With this series, we want to bring our retailers in the spotlight as we love their stores and would like to support them in any way we can. Next Up: The Mailroom

Now it's time to feature a Canadian retailer who is local to us! Meet Nicole and Steph who are running their lovely shop! Since February 2023, they have added our products to their collection of pretty stationery. 

Can you tell us a bit about your store and what you sell?

We are a stationery store located in the heart of Fort Langley, BC. We offer a wide range of desk and office supplies, sourced from various places including Canada, Japan, and Germany. Greeting cards, pens + ink, notebooks + planners are some of our most popular items in store.

How did you start your store?

Nicole lives in Fort Langley and noticed a gap in the market - there are SO many cute gift shops and clothing stores but no stores focused on paper goods. So the idea of The Mailroom was born.

What is unique about the store or do you have any cool services you provide?

We work really hard to source high quality and unique brands that other stores in the area don’t carry and love creating a beautiful space. Many don’t know this, but a second aspect of our business is our graphic design services. Through The Mailroom Studio we get to work with clients on logo development, website design and any print or digital graphic design needs such as business cards, flyers, social media templates and more.

What is your favourite color or items you love?

I (Steph) love the Zebra grand pen, by far my favourite writing instrument and I use it in my THE MAILROOM vegan leather notebook in a stunning olive green!

And I (Nicole) love greeting cards! We have so many different types of cards, many of which are from local artists and small businesses. I love that you can always find just the right card for each situation.
