Sea Otter Wax Seal

How could we make a West Coast-inspired collection without a sea otter? We fell in love with the personality in Roxanne’s original illustration, from its little paws to the texture of its fur. Instead of placing the otter inside a traditional round seal, we created a custom shape that loosely follows its body, making the finished impression feel like a tiny sculpted otter floating right on your stationery. It’s playful, a little unexpected, and quite possibly one of the cutest seals in our collection.

Originally hand-drawn by artist Roxanne Harrison, our Sea Otter Wax Seal captures one of the coast’s most charming residents resting on its back, with tiny paws, whiskers and beautifully textured fur.

We translated Roxanne’s illustration into a dimensional engraving and created a custom-shaped stamp that follows the natural form of the otter. When pressed into wax, all those little details come to life and give the finished seal an almost sculptural quality.

Part of our Coastal Collection, this playful design is perfect for ocean-inspired stationery, coastal and destination weddings, nature lovers, gift wrapping, snail mail and anyone who simply has a soft spot for sea otters.

Approximately 1.2 inches wide and 0.60 inch tall.

The wax seal is 1 inches in width and roughly 0.75 inches in height, with a white handle. The resulting stamp varies with the amount of wax applied.
