Want to make show-stopping wax seals? 🕯️

If you’ve ever wondered about the best way to make wax seals, you’re not alone! There are a few different methods to choose from, and each one has its pros and cons. So let’s take a little trip back to explore your options.

Wax Stick with Wick

This is the traditional way to make wax seals – like dripping wax from a candle. It's classic, but it can leave some black soot or flecks on your seal, especially if you're using lighter wax colors.

Glue Guns

Now, this is my favorite method! It’s fast and efficient. You can make about 5 wax seals per minute and quickly build up a stash of seals to stick anywhere with double-sided adhesive.

My pro tip? I always make a bunch at once and pick out the best ones!

The only downside? It's tricky to switch colors.

You can push through two clear wax sticks to clean the glue gun, but it’s still a bit of a waste.

Honestly, that’s why I own over 30 glue guns! 😅

Wax Stove

Looking for a slower, more intentional process? The wax stove might be for you!
  • Easy color switching: Simply clean the spoon between melts.
  • Perfect for marbled seals: The stove method makes it easy to create those stunning marble designs.
  • Recycle unwanted wax: Don’t let those wax scraps go to waste – they’re perfect for recycling in your stove.

The only downside?

It takes a bit more time. But if you enjoy slowing down and being intentional (while you write a letter or journal), the stove method is perfect for you.

So, Which One is Your Favorite?

Whether you prefer the fast, efficient glue gun or the slow, intentional stove, each method has its charm. If you’re new to wax sealing or looking to switch things up, now’s the time to explore and find your perfect match!

Happy sealing,

xoxo, Karla
